At the ripe old age of 10-years-old, Mikaila Ulmer is a business woman and just closed a sweet deal for her company BeeSweet Lemonade. Mikaila, who appears on ABC’s Shark Tank, accepted an offer of $60,000 for a 25 percent stake in her company from mogul and FUBU CEO Daymond John.

Mikaila started her lemonade company after learning about the importance of honeybees and then learned how to make flaxseed lemonade.

“Partnering with Mikaila made perfect sense,” John stated in a press release. “She’s a great kid with a head for business and branding. She’s got a great idea, and I’m happy to help take BeeSweet to the next level.”

John will now serve as a mentor to Mikaila and help her secure more distribution deals. So far the lemonade is available in Whole Foods.

“I’m so excited to have someone with as much experience as Daymond on my team,” Mikaila stated. “This is a great opportunity to have more people try my lemonade and help save even more bees!”

I wish his child all the success in the world. I hope she has a great support network because no one knows when a little black girl will run into the sort of ugliness that Mo’ne just experienced.
