Goddess Zuri T-Shirt Give-A-Way

tshirts

Last year, I discovered  Goddess Zuri t-shirts, a company started by a young woman named Candace, out of frustration in not being able to find clothing and jewelery that catered to her natural beauty & personal style. Instead of putting more effort into finding such a company, the marketing professional decided to start her own, and Goddess Zuri was born. In Swahili, Zuri means beautiful, so the name Goddess Zuri is definitely apropos for her line of t-shirts & hand crafted jewelery.

I love being natural because my hair is healthier, more versatile, and utterly unique. No one could have told me that I have 5 different textures on my head, and that all of them are akin to a fingerprint. I also love being liberated from the constraints of “good hair”/”bad hair.”

I also love not running from the rain or being afraid to shower without a cap. Heck, I threw them out 3 years ago. 🙂 I've been natural for 31 months now! [I did a BC 2x though… I loved rocking a baldie.]

i enjoy being a natural because it says i am bold, eccentric, and uncommon enough to go against the grain and not be afraid to be me.

I enjoy being natural because there is no more abuse to my scalp! I am extremely tenderheaded and no longer have to scream every six weeks, have scabs afterwards, and deal with the itching that comes when it's time for another relaxer! I have been natural for three years, and six months of it locing.

Thanks for the giveaway Candace. I have the “I Like Em Big” shirt and several pairs of the earrings. I love your work.

I love being natural because I get to enjoy my hair instead of seeing it as a burden. Since we no longer suffer with a “love-hate” relationship, my hair & I get along a lot better and to put it quite simply, “Life is better”. I love my hair and my hair loves me back.

I love being natural because that's what I am a product of nature. It also says I own my life, no one else. Its all about comfort and expression for me not cause its what am suppose to do its who I am.

I enjoy being natural because my hair is so thick and healthy! I believe that my hair is my very best accessory and being natural allows for me to try out different hairstyles without worrying about excessive manipulation or over processing. If I want my hair to be straight I can press it, if I want it to be big and curly I can twist it and use rollers, and not to mention wash n go’s are a breeze! I have to admit I am NO stranger to weaves which further demonstrates my lust for diverse styling options, and I have found that my natural hair has worked best with extensions whenever I chose to wear a weave for an event or a season. I enjoy being natural because I love having strong healthy hair, that is not only able to withstand my coooky styling methods but also helps me stand out from the crowd.

I'm not against extras. I appreciate options. But I don't think any of us know what it is to feel truly beautiful and confident until we can honestly feel it as we are, naturally.

I love being natural because I don't have to fear the following things: rain, exercise, sweat, rough sex, showers, etc… lol…. I am laughing but I am so serious!

Well, my hair is relaxed…so I'm not “natural” in that sense…but, I applaud her business mind and wish her endeavors the best successes. Be and Stay blessed, Candace/Goddess Zuri!

I am happy to be natural because I truly feel that natural is who God has intended me to be. If I was born with straight hair, then it would of been straight; although I don't want to offend those of us who do rock it straight. I feel that with my natural hair, I am not over compensating something in order to be considered beautiful by society's standards. So as I walk around as natural as I can be, I can show the world, especially little black girls, that natural is strong, bold, and universally beautiful; all the traits that each and every one of us internally possess. And most importantly, natural is love because God is love and he has created me in love; as natural as can be.

I enjoy being natural because it has allowed me to gain confidence in myself and accept and realize that I am beautiful as I am. I don't need weave or relaxed- straight hair to be beautiful or accepted. I enjoy taking care of my hair and love that it is becoming healthier every day. It is great learning what works for “your” hair. It is truly liberating.
