With This Ring I Be……

ring

….well unfortunately (or fortunately depends on how you look at it), there are no engagement rings in my near future. I’ve definitely seen my fair share of flamboyant rings, and not that there’s anything wrong with flamboyant, but I don’t need to wear a possible down payment on a house on my finger. When it comes to jewelry, I have pretty simple tastes, as I told a friend earlier today on the phone, if a man wants my attention, a 60 in plasma TV or a new cell phone will definitely get it faster than a few carats. All he could say was, “Ohhh okkkk”.

Anywho, the good folks at Tungsten Rings Online is giving ONE lucky reader of my blog, the chance to win a ring valued up to $120! According to their site:

Tungsten alone is a very dense and fragile metal. When tungsten is combined with carbon alloys at over 6,000 degrees Fahrenheit, Tungsten Carbide (TC) is formed- one of the hardest metals known to mankind. Although Tungsten has been used for many years in the manufacturing industry for tools and other workmanship, Tungsten was introduced to the jewelry industry merely a couple years ago. Our Tungsten Carbide rings do NOT contain the alloy cobalt. Although cobalt allows for easier production, it reacts with the natural oils in our skin and will cause oxidation on the ring. (Beware of competitors selling Tungsten jewelry containing cobalt. They are not scratch resistant and will oxidize shortly.) This indestructible alloy is virtually impossible to scratch, and holds its shine for decades! Here are some interesting facts that will put into perspective the quality of Tungsten Carbide- Tungsten Carbide is approximately tentimes harder than 14K gold, and four times harder than platinum! This innovative new product has become the hottest trend in today’s market, and is one of the highest demanded products on our site.

So if you’re interested in winning one of their rings, just follow the directions below! Pretty simple. One winner will be selected by random on September 5th, 2009 and will be notified by email. Good Luck, everyone!

I would pick the Womens 6mm Beveled Edge Tungsten Carbide Band and give it to a woman I've never met but admire a lot. I would offer the ring in friendship and see what happens next after we go shopping for that new Cell phone.

I've never been big on jewelry either… I always usually where one signature piece but mostly costume jewelry. I prefer something unique over the size.

And I'm thinking about mens diamond ring when we have tungsten which will keep its shine for ever and ever. But as you said here: it depends on your priority and what you want to do with your money. You can indeed buy tungsten and save a lot of money which could help you buy a house.
