Ranting & Raving, B*tching & Complaining

yellingThis morning and my drive into work I looked at the car besides me and noticed a personalized license plate that looked so familiar, then I realized it was my friend Single Black Male. I went through the names on my cell and dialed him up. We chatted for a few since it’s been some time since we’ve spoken to each other. So we talked about the bullshit that’s been going on in my life in particular and just laughed at how pathetic certain people can be. After that conversation, the only thing that was on my mind as I walked into my office was a rant & rave post. It’s been a while since I’ve done one, so needless to say I have a little bit to get off my chest.

  • I truly hope the person who released those photos of Rihanna is found and is properly reprimanded by the LAPD. I think it’s piss pour that TMZ posted those photos and it was in poor taste. Also, tons of other bloggers of course jumped on the bandwagon and couldn’t wait to post her photo that is supposed to be considered private evidence on their website as well. I guess people will do anything for a couple of ‘hits’.
  • While on the subject of battered women, it amazes me how so many people speak of what she did to provoke the attack! WTF? When will people get it through their thick ass skull that no one should be hit by a MAN (and I use that term lightly) at all???!?! I guess until they’re in that situation, they’re able to pass judgment so easily.
  • Why the fuck does my face fell as though I’m going through puberty again!! My forehead feels like braille, I’m definitely making an appointment to see my favorite dermatologist, Dr. Valerie Callender ASAP!
  • A year later, and I still hate him.
  • Almost 5 years later, and I still love him.
  • I wonder how easy for me would it be to adopt a little white kid from Russia? Maybe I’ll become the next Angelina Jolie, because obviously these ovaries of mine are going to waste.
  • As much as I am “not my hair”, I definitely need a change. Since I’ve been chemical free for over 15 years, I’m going to stick to it, but maybe I’ll cut about 6 inches off and dye it. I need a change. Or just maybe I’ll start the loc’ing process. Like I said, I need a change.
  • I need the patience of Job. At one point I used to consider myself to be a pretty patient person, nowadays, not so much.
  • I have to keep reminding myself that some men just aren’t the brightest light bulbs in the socket, so not to expect too much out of them. I said “SOME”, not “ALL”.
  • I truly don’t have a problem with people that I personally know reading my blog (this means you..lol), but what annoys me is when they bring up random stuff that I’ve wrote about in the conversation. Then they become surprised when they can’t access my page. I love IP Deny Manager.

Well, I guess I got a few things off of my chest, for now at least. I’m sure there will be more bitch worthy events and happenings in my life in the upcoming weeks!
Feel free to use the comment section to vent, rant, rave, talk shit, ask questions, whatever! Have a safe & enjoyable weekend!
Woo-fucking-Saaaa!!!

Well personally I’m a Compact Florescent Bulb. I’m not dim, just saving power :-p
I’m still surprised at the CB thing. Especially since it seems like mostly women are coming to his defense. Sign O the Time I guess.
Oh and funny story. A co-worker found my blog and left a comment yesterday. I was like DAMN can’t I have a life outside of here. But I guess as big as the net is, is as small as the world is.
    Happy Weekend

LOL @ Saving power! you are funny!
Yes, I’m convinced some women are also not to bright as well, to condone his actions and make excuses for them.
I only have a couple of coworkers who know about my blog but they dare not to make a comment..lol.

I love your blog. I’m so glad I found it. It’s wonderful to have place to vent. I agree with you on the CB/Rhi situation. People just to don’t seem to get it about domestic violence. Putting your hands on someone you claim to love is completely out of the question. Provocation is irrelevant. Perhaps, that’s why so many women who are suffering reuse to come forward. I see so many school-aged girls who “play” rough with boys around the neighborhood. They don’t seem to understand they’re being man handled and the behavior is inappropriate.
My mom is a high school teacher and she says the girls like to be treated that way. When boys are being “emotional” and roughing you up it’s passionate and it shows he cares about you. WTF???? I’d personally like to become involved in an organization that helps teenaged girls of color in particular about the importance of positive self esteem and overall self worth.
I feel you on the break out situation. I developed cystic acne at 22.My skin was worse than braille. It was like hot welts all over my face. It was a painful b*tch, but now, I have it under control. Hope things get better, and you have a great weekend.

Thank you so much! I truly appreciate it!
I remember seeing little girls in middle school & high school that thought it was cute to get ‘yoked’ up by their so-called boyfriend. All I could do was shake my head. I remember in 8th grade a boy called himself trying to man handle me…and he got himself a rude awakening.

Is this a mobile version??? A+! Good post too. My rant, and this may make people angry, as horrible as I find Chris Brown’s actions I don’t necessarily find them unforgivable and definitive of his character. I think he should be punished and needs therapy but I don’t like all the he deserves to die, let’s boycott his music talk… It’s not really helpful. Now is an opportunity to help educate others on an issue that is far more common than people want to believe and is often over-looked in terms of people 21 and under. I think I’m mostly annoyed at the media, they are milking this tragic situation for everything. I hope they BOTH come back from this and I don’t mean in terms of a career. I hope that she seeks therapy because I know what trauma abuse can and will cause to the pysche and he CLEARLY needs it as well. In case I wasn’t clear, I don’t think she “provoked” it. A person can only make you as angry as you allow them too and violence is never the solution, barring self-defense.

Some people may think I’m crazy for this but coming from a family where my my was beaten by her husband… stuff just doesn’t add up.
#1 how her family is playing up the situation
#2 domestic violence situations are suppose to be anonymous, so how her camp is milking this situation doesnt seem right either
Here is my theory of what I think happened.
I think Rihanna is crazy. I think this was a Thin Line Between Love and Hate situation where she beat herself up and is blaming Chris. There have been several reports in the past about RiRi’s temper. There were pics of her going off on Jay-Z at the grammy party last year.
I think she went on a rampage while Chris was driving, hitting him and acting a fool because he was flirting or cheating or whatever and he had to pull over because she was acting so crazy.
They got out the car… he probably shook the ish out of her, and was so distraught by that (since he has opened spoke about never putting a hand on a woman after seeing his stepfather beat the ish out of his mom)
and fled because he never thought he could let a chick let him get that angry in order to do that much.
He left her arse there with the car in the street… she beat herself up and then called 911.
That’s my theory. I’m not saying Chris is uncapable or that I am defending his innocence, but with all the stuff that has been coming out… my recollection of the events makes a lot more sense than what I’ve heard.
Plus they are saying that she has been trying to call him and he wont take her phonecalls. Why are you calling him. Plus why did she need to flee to Barbados. It just doesn’t add up.

      @Eb

But what has her camp said? I thought CB was the only person to release a statement so far?
Uh…beat herself up? I’ve seen the movie and all, but those bruises do not look self-inflicted at all. I’ll buy the fact that she might have hit her head on a dashboard if there really was an accident first. But, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
No one knows the real story, but from the picture, only one person ended up in the hospital that night. And considering he went out and hired Gregaros as his attorney, that’s not a good look either.

Girl, I know one doggone thing….my skin was flawless in my teens and it’s out of hand now. I think it’s hormones in my case, at least that’s what I tell myself. Have a great weekend, chica :-)!
Oh, and, Dr. Callendar is da bomb :-).

-Yea, it makes me so mad when people defend Chris. There is NO excuse for putting your hands on a woman. My mother was physically abused and I have no sympathy for woman beaters :/
-I haven’t told anyone about my blog and that’s the way I plan to keep it for now. It’s my place to vent without the input of others that I don’t really want. If I wanted your opinion obviously I would have told you, right?

Cut it off! (your hair I mean) Do the low, natural. Every Black woman should have that haircut at some point in her life.

It's the dumbest shit to say that. Yes, we know that stories have 2 sides, but there has GOT to be a line drawn about what men can do to a woman…and a point to which she will say she's done. I think most of those folks are Chris Brown fans AND people who hate to see the “brothas” held down…but, he has to get his life straight. Accountability goes a long way for creating a foundation for growth.

I just told my mother the other day that I needed her to cut my hair so that I can color it. I STILL haven't achieved the red I'm looking for. I just want a change as well. We'll see.

I feel you on the patience thing. I used to be super-patient…now? You could get your head ripped off in one clean smooth motion. I just am over giving a damn.
