Friday Asides Part 3

Another Friday is upon us, and thankfully this is a long weekend. I can’t believe the summer has came and went so fast. It seems like it was only a couple of weeks ago that it was Memorial Day. For me this summer seems as though it went by in a blur. I didn’t travel as much as I would have liked to, for business or pleasure. I guess one highlight of my summer was my business trip to San Diego. Talk about perfect weather every day!

This summer was definitely one of the  most stressful. Between relationship, family and health issues, my spirit was definitely broken in more ways than one. Now that the summer has drawn to a close, I can definitely see the silver lining in the clouds. I’ve gotten rid of the stressful elements and as far as my health, I’m feeling about 90% back to normal, thanks to prayers from family and friends and a pretty great doctor.

This morning on my commute into work, I’ve come to the conclusion that Maryland drivers have to be the worst drivers on the face of the earth. What part of the merging concept do they not understand? It’s a pretty simple concept if you ask me. It makes me wonder how/why were they issued drivers license in the first place. And maybe somebody can answer this question?? Why is it always the elderly people driving the biggest Cadillacs and they can barely see over the dashboard. I swear, this morning as I was driving I had to take a second look into this woman’s car just to make sure she wasn’t a kid driving, but of course she wasn’t, she was just to short and couldn’t properly see over her dashboard. Someone should really hand her a stack of pillows so she can sit on them while she drives.

Speaking of being too short, this week I must have had a sign on my back that read, “Will Brake For Men Under 5’8”. I’ve come to realize I’m a magnet for vertically challenged men. Personally, I prefer men to be over 6’0 and considering that I’m 5’10, I think that’s a reasonable request. But then again, the men I’ve come across this week who were under 5’8, definitely were more put together than a date I had with someone who was 6’10 (*waves* at Mr. 6’10.. are you still reading my blog now?).

Well that’s all I got for today, feel free to share you rants and raves in the comments section! As always have a great and safe holiday weekend!

Big Daddy Kane- I Get The Job Done (on my drive into work I was talking to a friend, and I said “I get the job done”, and a conversation about Big Daddy Kane started!)

Have a great long weekend. Yep the short men LOVE the tall girls and it seems the higher my heels are the shorter they come. You know when one is standing a cool 6’3″ in heels you would think that a 5’6″ George Jefferson look alike would keep it moving past the Glamazon. NO DICE ! They are like the first in line. Menwhile those men that look you in the eye are somewhere chillng with a 5’2″ chick. Tis life I guess.
Don’t even get me started on B-I-G-D-A- double D-Y-K-A-N-E. lol!

It’s hard for the shorter women too. I’m only 5’6″ and I seem to attract the extra-smediums over and over again. I would love to look up at a date!

I am 5′ 9 3/4″ and I love heels! Is it wrong that I don’t even consider men who are shorter than me?
