Will ‘Affluenza’ Teen Go To Jail After Violating Probation?

article-affluenza-1204

Texas teen Ethan Couch became known as the teen suffering from “affluenza” after he received probation in the drunk driving death that killed four people. But a recent video surfaced could put him behind bards for violating probation.

Twitter user @BlondSpectre  posted photos of the 19-year-old watching a game of beer pong, and also says they have other photos and videos of Couch doing other things.

“ya boy ethan couch violating probation. i got more if u want,” @BlondSpectre tweeted.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office was notified about the video and said it was forwarded it to those in charge of his probation. Couch’s probation says he cannot drink, drive or do drugs.

And if he’s found guilty of violating the probation, he could end up in jail for 10 years.

But one has to wonder how this will work out? Can his affluenza save him now? And if it doesn’t, it seems as though social media will prove once again, it’s powerful.

Rich kids RARELY go to jail for anything. They could get away with murdering a judge.

The reason for this affluenza, is because as he rich kid he does not know right from wrong so we must not punish him for not knowing. That was a load of bullshit and his family and their attorney knew it but it would fly. Fucking tool, I’m sorry but he should of been charged he murdered people, caused property damage, was underage drinking, drink driving and he also injured people. So I’m pretty sure this is what constitutes as a criminal. In the video seems so care free. What it is to White and Rich. Post the pictures and ruin his life, he needs to learn his actions have consequences and money cannot pay for everything. I wonder why this dude decided to post this? Maybe he was bragging or he really is a shitty human being who really felt no remorse. I cannot stand him and his privilege and this is what grows up to be the next republican base and they never grow up just get nastier and more uglier to look at. I hope karma decides to deal his cards in as his game is getting stale or maybe she still has few hands to wait with this one.

He’s 19. Where’s I’m from, once you’re 18, you’re grown. He’s grown, so he should be treated as grown. Also, the lie of “affluenza” have been exploited by wealthy people and many white people in order to make a mockery of the judicial system. I hope that he experiences accountability for his actions. There is white privilege. Other groups of people would be placed under the jail for killing people and damaging property as Ethan as did. We are all disgusted at his arrogance and his evil behavior. We want Ethan to experience real accountability. Many of the same ones who lecture black people on personal responsibility ignore stories such as these.

His reckless behavior caused the death of 4 innocent people. There will come a time when he will pay for those consequences regardless of his parent’s wealth and access to resources.
