She Blew Her Cash on Powerball; Then Created a GoFund Me Because She’s Broke

a3dd22370f2b63fe3bb0670dfbb39557

Cinnamon Nicole.

Girl. You tried it.

No one told you to go out and spend all of your money on Powerball tickets. But I understand why you did it. You took a chance. I took a chance and spent $10. I wish I had that $10 back though.

God only knows how much you spent, but then you had the audacity to create a GoFundMe page, because now you’re saying you’re broke.

And in your GoFundMe plea you stated:

Please help me and my family as we have exhausted all of our funds. We spent all of our money on lottery tickets (expecting to win the 1.5 billion) and are now in dire need of cash. With your small donation of at least $1.00, a like  and one share, I’m certain that we will be able to pick ourselves up from the trenches of this lost and spend another fortune trying to hit it big again! PLEASE, won’t you help a family in need. DONATE NOW.

Interestingly enough, before GoFundMe shut down your shenanigans, people actually donated close to $900. There’s some nice people in the world. I wish I knew people like that.

Here’s a word of advice, Cinnamon:

The next time you’re itching to play the lottery, how about you only spend what you can afford? See how simple that is.

    Well if Cinnamon had prioritize she would have not been broke in the first place. Some people really have a sense of entitlement and wanting people to payfund their lifestyle choices.

    Why on earth would gofundme shut this down
    that is outrageous
    this young lady is very honest

    I love how she asks for donations to “help a family in need…” so they can “spend another fortune trying to hit it big again”.

    Dear morons: I am very bad at managing any amount of money, and basically throw it away. Because of this, I am very poor. Please give me more money to burn.

    The best part is how enough morons were giving her money that the site administrators decided to shut it down entirely… AND THEY DID. They took action. They decided that regardless of how much society might be broken or people might be dumb enough to support something like this, it wasn’t right to let it happen, even when they would make some money off whatever percentage they take before disbursing funds.

    “This isn’t what we’re all about,” is essentially what they said by vetoing her plea for a hand-out.

    I’d like to think I’m pretty good at determining who to give money to when I’m in NYC or other areas with panhandlers. That girl who is looking pretty well-fed, and yeah, she’s wearing two different shoes, but they’re Gucci, and she takes some of her cup-money to get a latte at Starbucks before she leaves her post for the morning, only to return at 4pm before the evening rush? Yeah, she gets nothing. The clearly-homeless black veteran with one eye and one arm wearing four coats to keep from dying at night who doesn’t even ASK you for money? Have a twenty, brother. Life’s been hard on you; you deserve a break.

    Also, the parents should’ve known this was going to happen when they named their child Cinnamon. All creatures named Cinnamon have the same IQ, whether they are gambling addicts, teacup labradoodles, or the principal at Clone High.

    No, hang on: I take it back. Some of them are very intelligent strippers.

      Cinnamon might be her user handle. You think that everyone is going to use their real name online?

    Sounds like someone was just trolling

    I spent $20 on power ball because that’s what I was comfortable spending. This chick took it too far. It’s her own fault she went broke. I understand wanting to hit it big but she messed up and shouldn’t expect a handout.

    Wow Clutch! I know this person and it was DEFINITELY a joke. Did you even try to contact her to get a statement or was the ad money for this click bait article too irresistible? You didn’t even include all the language from the page.

    I cannot take you guys seriously anymore…

      Did she plan on giving the money back that people donated from her joke?

        Are you having buyer’s remorse?

          @EmpressDivine

          What are you talking about? I haven’t “bought” anything… I’m just asking if your friend planned on giving the money back…since it was a ” joke” and not an actual way to get money for her family.

        @Aria Whitaker

        Heck no. To lazy to work so she depends on others to support her.

      @EmpressDivine

      Or how about you tell your friend to stop playing jokes on the internet?

      • January 15, 2016 - Reply

        @Clutch

        Or how about you do some due diligence next time? If that’s too hard, just try getting a sense of humor. Again, I repeat, it was a JOKE!

          A joke? It’s not even funny. Gofundme should be used to help startup projects, kids trying to finance an education, illnesses….. Not because your friend wants to be a butthole on a random day to go viral. This is ridiculous.

            Doubt if this person even knows the gofundme person. Just trying to make an excuse of bad behavior.

            Spot on. She appears to be the self absorbed type of fool who would take a selfie with a accident victim instead of calling 911. Just as long as her ego and pocket book are fed.

    This is a bizarre story. Some say that this story is real and some are saying that this story is a hoax. Regardless if it is real or a hoax, people with a lot of wealth should use great financial management.

      Gofundme would have records of this person; especially if a *check* was made out to this individual. Now, you know Uncle Sam doesn’t play about phony registered tax people.

    This is the type of person you don’t want looking at your monthly bank statements. Such irresponsibility. She’s clearly does not know how to manage her finances..

    This was a joke. Who starts a GFM and admits that they’re going to blow the money raised? And you fell hook line and sinker.
