Ramsey & her husband Patrick via Twitter.
Looks like a lot more than Kanye West’s epic speech and Nicki Minaj’s flawless shade went down at Sunday’s VMAs.
During the show, comedian, vlogger, and MTV Decoded host Franchesca Ramsey and her husband also schooled an All Lives Matter troll who called the movement to protect Black lives “bullshit.”
Although Ramsey said she had fun at the VMAs, her night was nearly ruined after her encounter with an audience member who tried to start a fight with Ramsey’s husband Patrick over the couple’s pro-Black Lives Matter stance.
Ramsey and her husband recounted the incident on Twitter.

@chescaleigh I wasn't going to hit him. I just told him not to say that again. He stood up like it was going to be a thing.

@Tee_Lynette @chescaleigh Black lives matter was said, he said "bullshit."…
— Patrick (@tieoptional) August 31, 2015
@Tee_Lynette @chescaleigh I explained the diff in killings of black persons. He said, verbatim, “There’s a reason for that.”

They also filmed the encounter, in which the man literally covered his ears when Ramsey tried to explain why Black Lives Matter was important.
Despite its troubling nature, the incident perfectly illustrates just how unwilling some people are to recognize the importance of affirming the lives of Black people.

The video shows how trolls are not just in the Internet. They are found in award shows and in the streets of America. The reality is that the Black Lives Matter is an international movement that wants police brutality, racism, classism, and other forms of oppression to end, so black humanity can have freedom and justice. The ignorant people want to say that “All Lives Matter” deflection seek to ignore real issues and they want to minimize the legitimate aspirations of black people. Franchesca Ramsey made the excellent points that about various issues too. It is easy to refute any “All Lives Matter” troll like clockwork.

Trolls= just internet is such a ridiculous argument. The trolls aren’t bots they are actually people behind screens! They come from somewhere and they’re among us! Hell before the internet there were trolls though they refused to stay under the bridge.
September 2, 2015 -
Exactly. People, who want to believe in propaganda, are everywhere. I have noticed about these trolls is that many of them have insecurities and they reject cogent arguments. We aren’t stressed over them. We are blessed.
September 3, 2015 -
Truth, the illogical mindset of these trolls proves their extent of mental illness. Their paranoia and inability to grasp reality is fueled by the media — the well-oiled machine. Remember what Malcolm X said: “The media’s the most powerful entity on earth.
They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty
innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the
masses.” I know you’ve heard that quote before. How can they logically blame the BLM movement for the recent deaths of these cops when no motive has been substantiated? That’s sickness, Truth! They needed a, “Ah huh! You see, they — the BLM movement — are dangerous and are a threat to life as we know it.” The BLM movement are enacting changes and taking no prisoners — and that’s something to be feared.
September 3, 2015 -
You’re absolutely correct Sister. Only a disturbed mind would promote the slander that the BLM movement is involved in the murder of cops. The Black Lives Movement is growing and the status quo hates real change. We aren’t turning around and we will express the fact that our black souls are entitled to justice. Yes, the quote from Malcolm X is true since far too often the media has distorted the truth instead of reporting on the facts accurately. So, we carry on and fight for the rights of our black people.
Enjoy your Day Sister.
September 3, 2015 -
As usual, you are speaking THE TRUTH, brother.
Enjoy your day as well,
September 3, 2015 -
I suspect many of these trolls are paid shills. I think White fear agencies send them out to scout Black sites or even public gatherings in order to peek into the minds and doings of Black people because they know if we rise up, we are taking no prisoners. They don’t want the status quo to change. It’s reminiscent of the Civil Rights era. Their fear is immobilizing them and making them into rabid, unreasonable, ignorant, maniacal creatures.
September 3, 2015 -
lol, you could be onto something because they sure as hell like going where they aren’t wanted.
September 3, 2015 -
They sure do. It’s an orchestrated attempt to shut us down. How sick is that????
September 4, 2015 -
They have ALWAYS been morally bankrupt, soulless animals and rabid, unreasonable, ignorant, maniacal creatures. Ever since they decided to start raiding and colonizing the West African coast to kidnap and enslave innocent people. If they needed labor, it did not HAVE to be slave labor. Labor is not by definition, UNFREE. Most importantly, it didn’t have to be AFRICAN labor. If these aggressive white SAVAGES just felt they “had” to perpetually enslave anybody forever, they SHOULD have stuck to enslaving each other. There has NEVER been any acceptable excuse for their behavior by NORMAL human standards – EVER. We need to understand that their sociopathic behavior is JUST a continuation of the sick and wholly ONE-SIDED “race war” these savages started 500 years ago when Gomes Eannes de Zurara wrote that the Portuguese first used “war on the blacks” in 1444 to kidnap their first West African victims.
September 4, 2015 -
I think some of these so-called “new blacks” are in league with them; that’s what I think every time they fix their mouths to say something stupid or ignorant or racist about black folks. If they’re not, they might as well be, because they do racists’ jobs for them. smdh This would be nothing new because they’ve been doing it forever, from when they went shopping in Africa for human labor, to having slaves who would spy for them, to planting spies during the Civil Rights movement, to now.
September 2, 2015 -
Organized Black people is very threatening to that oppressive power structure of white supremacy.
September 2, 2015 -
Preach Sister.
November 24, 2015 -
the power structure set up the “black lives matter” movement to further divide people among bs lines like race…. so they can maintain their oppressive power structure while we are simply in-fighting. WAKE UP, this woman is an ACTRESS hired to play a ROLE

I don’t know who Patrick is but I like em!!

September 3, 2015 -

September 2, 2015 -
Chescaleigh is one of my favorite social media personalities. Kudos to her husband.

Francesca has been educating me about American race issues in entertaining and effective ways for years through her YouTube channel. Subscribe to her!!!
September 2, 2015 -
According to this troll, these non innocent black lives deserved to be shot down by the state, aka the police. Is this a new white law we need to aware of?
September 2, 2015 -
Patrick’s got beautiful blue eyes.
September 3, 2015 -
Many people form narratives and there’s no amount of logic that will change their mindset. The man covering his ears wasn’t interested in the truth; therefore, he shut all reason and logic down. If people like this man had to acknowledge the truth about the BLM movement, then he’d have to relinquish every excuse he has for his fear of the unified Black man and woman.
September 3, 2015 -
Exactly. Black Unity is a very powerful, legitimate force.
September 3, 2015 -
His covering his ears reminds me of the online trolls not wanting to listen to what you have to say despite you explaining it over and over.
February 7, 2016 -
You mean like the numerous popular feminist websites / youtube channels that turn off ratings and comments on their videos?
September 3, 2015 -
A white man was trying to have a conversation with me about BLM, and he made a remark about there were more white people killed by cops. I laughed in his face and put my earphones on and went back to listening to my music. This happened on my commute on the train. Wow, does he really believe this?
September 3, 2015 -
I have heard them say that before and you did the right thing to laugh in his stupid face. When you ask them to show proof of more whites being killed by cops they say ‘well the media doesn’t advertise it as much’. Then how the hell do they know it happens so frequently if the media never reports it?! They don’t believe this noise either, they get their talking points and march like the satan’s soldiers they are.
September 3, 2015 -
Exactly, I shake my head.
September 4, 2015 -
Let’s say they were: How does that negate the need for the BLM movement? They stay trying to make things about them. Always trying to tit for tat and ignore other people’s needs and concerns in favor of their own, because if it’s not about them and their “struggles,” they don’t want to hear about it. They talk about people rioting after these deaths, yet ignore how they riot if their favorite football/soccer/hockey team doesn’t win. They will go on a campaign about the most innocuous, dumb stuff, yet get mad when black folks complain about legitimate concerns like racism, discrimination, persecution, murder, terrorism, etc. How tiresome! I really can’t take anyone who thinks like them seriously. I don’t blame you for cutting him off because at that point you know that it’s not a conversation worth having.

America has a sickening past, one which has not been reconciled, and instead of a sheepish and apologetic white populous, we have instead arrogance, aggressiveness and continued racism; the shamelessness should be likened to Neo-Nazis in Germany. There is no reason to find the simple phrase or idea of “Black lives matter” “threatening” unless you’re an adherent of white supremacy. Why? Because the notion of Black lives mattering and being valuable enough to defend IS in fact a DIRECT threat to white supremacy. So I find it disgusting that what whites are really demanding is “the right” to be racist – essentially terrorizing Black people and disrespecting our humanity.
This country is hundreds of years of Nazi Germany, South African Apartheid, and Iraq Occupation rolled into one. It’s a terrorist state in and of itself.

WOW!!! Best post I’ve seen breaking down these sentiments they harbor. Right on!
September 4, 2015 -
Thank you!

It really makes you wonder about the type of people who are in these crowds at award shows.
I always did at least. Like, I know there are going to be celebrities, artists, producers, directors and their families and such, but who else is in the crowd. What type of people are they? I got a little bit of an answer here.
