Girl Cyber-Bullied, Hospitalized After Oral Sex Photos Go Viral

Girl Cyber-Bullied, Hospitalized After Oral Sex Photos Go Viral

A 17 years old girl was photographed at an Eminem concert in Ireland on Saturday performing oral sex on another concert goer.  In another photo, she is kissing the same man while he reaches under her skirt. In yet another, she appears to be giving oral sex to a second unidentified man.

Those photos quickly went viral and the cyber-bullying began.

With the use of the hashtag #slanegirl being used to direct people to the photos, even more people posted the photos on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr. Since the girl is reportedly 17 years old, sharing the photos could be a criminal offense. Irish police are now investigating the incident, the BBC reports.

According to The Irish Independent the girl was so  devastated and distraught she had to be sedated in the hospital Monday afternoon.

According to a source, “the teenager has not been medically fit enough to make a formal statement yet, but when that happens this could turn into a sexual assault investigation.”

Social media, slut shaming, cyber-bullying…welcome to the internet.

    That’s insane behavior. Why is she in public doing such things? Was she drugged? Forced somehow?

  2. August 21, 2013 - Reply

    So its a “criminal offense” to post a pic of a 17 year old willingly performing nasty acts on several men eh? Will the girl be held responsible for doing such things although she’s underage??? I doubt it.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      @Apple Pie

      what should the girl be held responsible for? maybe for lewd acts or whatever local law dictates. i don’t know.

      she obviously lacks good judgement. but if she’s a minor in the country she is in, she is a child. it’s possible to do adult acts and still be a child.

      i feel sorry for her. i disagree with people who want to demonize her.

      she should not have been doing that in public. another line was crossed when they snapped pictures in posted them to social media channels. that was taking it to a whole ‘nother level.

      • August 21, 2013 - Reply

        I really don’t feel sorry for this girl. She behaved in a lewd and licentious manner and should be deeply embarrassed. I’m surprised that someone of her generation feels free to engage in private conduct in public and is then surprised that pictures were taken.

      • August 24, 2013 - Reply

        Oh because, it’a 100% possible to know how old someone is just by looking at them. The guy taking the photo was certainly complicit in a crime against a “child” in an adult setting performing an adult act. YUP.

        Once again, another parenting fail.

  3. August 21, 2013 - Reply

    Yeah… she’s not a very sympathetic “victim”. Unless she was forced or drugged like Edwina mentioned, you can’t be topping folks off in PUBLIC and not expect things like this to happen. If we can condemn social media for slut shaming and cyber bullying, surely we can condemn this young woman for her poor decision making skills. She’s old enough to know better. She should have thought about how she’d feel if this got out before she put a d*ck(s) in her mouth in front of 80,000 people.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      For what its worth, I thought the same things you did. Then I read someplace that people (particularly young women) who engage in these kinds of bizarre sex acts are often the victims of sexual abuse themselves. And that changed my outlook.

      In retrospect, I think she’s obviously a deeply damaged and hurt young woman. And quite possibly a survivor of child sex abuse, herself. Thus her acts were not so much as reasons to condemn as reasons to reach out and offer aid. She needs help from the community, not shame. Just food for thought.

      • August 21, 2013 - Reply

        I think this may very well be a cry for help too and I thought about everything you said while processing my feelings on this story…however

        While, I think it’s noble of all of us to hope that there are some underlying issues that would cause this kind of behavior, and want to help rather than ridicule. But just as easily as we can impute victimhood on this young woman, she could also simply be an attention seeker who never expected this to get this big. We’ve yet to hear her side of the story and until we do I can’t give her the benefit of the doubt. This wasn’t a private act that became public because of a violation of trust. It was public act that became public-er. Not to mention, had she been a month or 12 older, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion. We’d be calling her a big dummy and not much else.

        I’m not saying the ‘treatment’ she’s receiving is fair or even warranted, I’m just asking that we be measured in our response to this. The man/men involved are not blameless. The folks who took and spread the pictures are awful. I hate society’s prurient curiosity in these sort of things too. But let’s be real, actions have consequences. We’re letting her slide because she might have been a victim of sexual abuse and for the sake of feminism? Nah…

      • August 21, 2013 - Reply

        I get what you’re saying, but trying to help a damaged person isn’t “letting it slide.” It’s the opposite of that. It’s getting involved to fix the behavior, and possibly preventing others from acting out their pain in a similar way. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

        I’m just saying that scorn is not helpful here. What’s so wrong with that? Why are we trying to justify hurling scorn and contempt at these people? What good does the name-calling do? Not doing that isn’t “letting it slide.” It’s being decent and constructive. I don’t see why that’s controversial.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      I don’t agree at all. WhenI was sexually abused by my grandfather when I was a child i became hyper sexual and did some pretty crazy things until I got help for y emotional problems I didn’t even realize I had. Normal girls don’t do this kind of stuff. She’s not right in the head and she shouldn’t be demonized for it.

      • August 22, 2013 - Reply

        Agreed! This hypersexualization is not normal behavior for a girl of 17 unless you have some kind of drug or alcohol use to decrease inhibitions. It’s easier to slut shame then to deal with mental health issues. Whether it came from sexual abuse, poor socialization, poor parenting, etc. this is a symptom of a bigger problem.

        And as for feminism, there’s a group of feminist that would see nothing wrong with her behavior since she’s “expressing herself”. Big A** side eye to them and all the rest who think it’s okay to do this just to have more women join “the cause”. Most people who act in this way need help and are deeply scarred. Even the attention seekers are seeking attention because something went wrong early on in life. Look at this situation. This girl is making herself into an object, a hole to be filled. Not a woman with hopes, dream, family, likes/dislikes, or most importantly a name.

        We’ve just got to do better than scream “Slut!” and keep moving when we see things like this. We have to be proactive with our children and talk to them about sex, be proactive and protective in their sex lives, and if they are abused, get them the help they need.

    Ummmmm…that’s all I’ve got after reading that.

    @Apple Pie

    It depends on Ireland’s laws on what is considered to be underage/minor.

    Slightly off-topic, in my opinion, this whole “internet-pics/videos-cyber bullying” is sickening and scary. It’s just another danger that women/teenaged girls have to look out for.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      In 2013 people need to realize they can be photographed or taped without their consent. The govt is doing it every day to us and so are perfect strangers walking by on the street.

      What’s scary and sickening is a 17 year old girl (or anyone for that matter) giving head to 2 men during the duration of a concert. THAT was the most danger she put herself in that night. In addition to opening herself up as the “easy girl” and making her a candidate for rape, she could have caught and STD.

      There’s nothing to “look out for” if you aren’t acting a damn fool in public.

  8. August 21, 2013 - Reply

    If you try to tell a young lady to “slow down” and to be careful with what she does with her body, she will shout out saying, “I’m grown and it’s my body”!! Others will shout that women are being oppressed sexually and should do as they please, no matter how gross the conduct. Now when issues like these arise and the girl is feeling “distraught” over her actions, they want to get authorities involved for sometging she willingly did. GTFOOH. She wasn’t raped. She is just a fast little girl whose trifling ways went viral. Maybe this was needed in order for her and hopefully other young girls to change and treat their bodies with more respect. Sorry if this comes off harsh but more people need to speak up and caution these young girls.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      @Apple Pie

      You aren’t harsh, just not helpful. Advising young girls to base their decisions on what the internet /gossip circles might say isn’t one of the many cautions they need regarding sexual activity. That just puts value in ‘not getting caught’ and reinforces unhealthy dichotomies of slut vs stud and slut vs virginal good girl.

      This young boy exposed his GENITALS in public. She was clothed. Yet we are talking about her, and all the shame she ‘deserves’. If anything, isn’t he in need of MORE guidance than her regarding caution and safety? He was blatantly flaunting it for the camera with proud raised fists. Doesn’t he need “to change and treat (his) body with respect” so that people aren’t looking at his privates or taking pics of his sexual activity? This took two, yet one party is receiving the blame and disgust (and lots of ridicule and hate), while the other is praised or ignored. This is the real problem at hand here. Not that teens engage in oral sex (that’s not news and not why this went viral), but the issue is how the two parties are viewed and treated very differently. He is either cheered on or ignored, she is shamed and shunned. For the same act. Really now?

      I doubt she is distraught over HER actions. This hospitalization is only after this went viral. More likely she is rightfully distraught at the vileness on Twitter regarding her, at people seeking out her personal info, and at the sickening reactions of people praising him while saying she is immoral and slut and stupid. Thousands of people trying to humiliate and degrade you online would be tough for anyone, much less a 17 year old girl.

        @Laga Morphia

        @ Laga Morphia,

        I think you are right, partially. I totally agree that if we’re going to shame her, we should also dole out some shame equally for th boys who also participated in being trifling in public too. So I will. All of them (the boys/men and the 17 year old girl) should be ashamed. BUT, the sexist society we live in will congratulate the boys for what they did and yet treat her like scum for it. So…..IMO, this is the very reason we have to teach our girls to know better and do better. She really should’ve saw this coming. Not only is it dangerous and a health hazard (I doubt the little one slapped a condom on these dudes before sucking them off), but she ended up publicly humiliated also. We can’t keep letting girls/women off the hook because we live in a world full of sexism and “the boys don’t get shamed too”. We can’t allow them to go around sucking d**k at concerts and being mamby pamby because they get embarassed afterwards by thier peers; calling “slut shaming” every time something like this goes down. When people (yes I said people, not just women) do slutty things, they SHOULD be ashamed! Chances are these people didn’t know each other from Adam prior to attending the concert. And yet in public, they were recorded exchanging bodily fluids. Yes, she should’ve known better. We MUST teach our girls better b/c they have more at stake. I’m not saying that what the online bullies did was right. In fact it was damn wrong and they should be ashamed of themselves too. But I don’t think that we should absolve her or girls/women like her from partial responsibility when sh*t like this goes down.

        @Laga Morphia

        there’ll be no issue here if the girl didn’t care about her reputation. you can label the guy as a slut too if you like but i doubt he’d care. her reputation of being seen as “pure” is still important to her and that’s why she’s distraught. this is why it’s generally a bad idea to get involved with people who have nothing to loose: when stuff “blows” over, it’ll suck for you, but not so much for them.

  9. August 21, 2013 - Reply

    Wow, I agree with the other comments. When did this become the thing to do at concerts though, to the artists performing, while performing, and spectators alike WTH???
    .Unless this girl was drugged by these dudes I wouldn’t know what to tell her except perhaps to use better judgement and have some self respect. Now as far the possible charges for people sharing these pics, people should not so gleefully participate in the humiliation of others period, be it by sharing the pic/vid/post etc.

      @Orange Starr Happy Hunting

      Right!!! Like where do they do that at???…clearly Ireland but still. The last thing I am thinking about especially at an Eminem concert is getting it in ASAP. I don’t want to sound heartless but I don’t know how I feel about this…this seems like the case of crying victim because you don’t like the results of your actions. If she was drunk, drugged or forced I can understood but if she did this WILLINGLY in a public crowded place then she shouldn’t be surprised that someone video tapped her and the guys (my hypocrisy knows no bound I go in on everyone…lol) in the act in this day and age with social media. Sorry but in this world you can’t trust or believe that everyone has a code of honor or morals. But I do think these guys needs to be dragged as well, because she wasn’t doing these things by herself and men need to start baring responsibility and held accountable for their actions in this care.

      Don’t get me wrong, it was HIGHLY wrong for the person(people) to post the video/pics online and people going in on her via cyber bulling. I think a lot of people (men and women) need to take a conscious look at their behaviors, actions and consequences of said actions via offline and online. Giving open oral sex/sexual acts at a public popular concert makes headlines and will make people talk and look at you funny especially if was recorded and posting picture/sharing it doesn’t make you any better. Where was her and the guys‘ people? Did she go to this concert alone? With the guys? Did all of them know each other? Why all three of them didn’t get kicked out or arrested for indecent exposure right then and there? So many unanswered questions here…

    assuming she was not under the influence, those are the consequences of PUBLICLY performing a sexual act on a stranger while being recorded. No sympathy here.

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      I agree completely! Forget male/female double standards this woman played herself and is having buyer’s remorse! Once it’s viral online, you can’t take it back. I bet she’ll spend less time on her knees in public!

    • August 21, 2013 - Reply

      Exactly! There was a photo of a woman being publicly and openly fingered at Lollapalooza this year. Sympathy for her? How about sympathy for the people next to them who probably felt exTREMELY uncomfortable/mortified with such gross behavior in such a tight space (that involved intimate bodily fluids, people!). If she was roofied, I would sympathize with her, but if she took the drugs on her own and this was the consequence, well…now she knows what does and does not work for her. I’ve unfortunately run into public sex acts in tight quarters and I’m all for shaming anyone who does it.

    Frankly, I would have more sympathy or a thirty year old woman get caught up in a stunt like this than a teenager. Adults who came of age before cellphones might forget that at any moment they might be on video. Teens have known about video their whole lives!

    Unless she can prove she was given some sort of date rape drug, she needs to get a bottle of mouthwash and take a seat. ( I have not heard of women giving head while on date rape drugs. They are usually unconscious while men penetrate their vaginas.)

  13. August 21, 2013 - Reply

    Assuming she was the one who put the pictures online. Which i doubt. Smh. Have some sympathy! Its not buyers remorse its a child who was possibly under the influence and possibly under the age of consent, having a sexual encounter that was possibly photographed with out her consent and disseminated over the internet. Again, sympathy.

SHE knew what she was doing (unless drug liked some have mentioned) but come on! This is just……too much! Stories like this show that some young girls need much better guidance and lack a tremendous amount of respect for self. People will call her a slut and continue to give props to the two boys who received fellatio but in the end…this is very sad to me. It seems more and more young girls want to be known for and gain attention for sexual acts! SMDH. I cant

    Yes, this situation is embarrassing and adults should not be making a twitter hashtag to bully a kid. HOWEVER, the fact remains that this “kid” is 17, old enough to be a high school senior, and should have some common sense. Some forms of PDA are best done in private…if you’re going to be out there in public, don’t complain when word starts going around. Honestly, I have a problem with the phrase “slut-shaming.” Behavior like this is slutty….what are we supposed to do…start “slut-praising”? I don’t support bullying at all, but why are we coming to the defense of girls who are being treated as sluts when they rightfully earned their reputations? I don’t want to hear anything about how empowering their behavior is etc, because for the average high-schooler, promiscuity is usually the result of insecurity.

      Yes, yes, and yes. Applause all around. So done with the term “slut shaming”. If you participate in slutty behavior, male or female, you should be ashamed.

        Because you’re the holder to the trademark of the word “slut” and you should know the definition of what one is?

        Who are you to say one person’s actions are slutty and another’s isn’t?

      • August 21, 2013 - Reply

        Actually no I’m not. But I do know that a slut is a sexually promiscuous woman (I’ve included men b/c I don’t think it should be reserved for just women) of “loose morals”. YOU should look it up.

        Who am to call a person’s actions out as being slutty? A person with eyes and ears, that’s who. yes, it is subjective. But most people who will use the term would probably apply it to the people in question in this article.

        GTFOH? I think not…

      If he was just doing women with no payback, he just might get dogged a little unless the woman was really cute, then he would get props for getting her pants off. If he was getting served, his boys would probably be jealous.

      I am by no means defending the double standard. I do not understand why so many women agree to let themselves be filmed giving head while the guy just shows his penis and not his face only to be mad when these videos later turn up on different websites. It doesn’t take genius to imagine the video will be posted at some point.

      there’s no double standard here: the guy isn’t complaining and his face is in the news too. she’s playing the victim card and that’s the issue. if you want to be a (wo)man slut, that’s your business but own up to it. if you wanna go steal other people’s property, don’t be surprise if people start calling you a thief. if you don’t like it, don’t steal. if you like to sex some 2 random guys in a park, that’s your business but don’t be surprise if it blows up in your face.

    Here’s my issue, she willingly goes down on 2 guys at a concert, and when she gets called out she went from being a ‘sexually liberated woman who wants to take ownership of the word slut’ to a ‘victim’? How about we just admit that some women have no shame and will do it anywhere at any time? I have no sympathy for her and only hope that she serves as a ‘caution’ to others who think that they’re ‘grown’.
