#FlotusBars: Michelle Obama Just Dropped a Rap Video Encouraging People to Go to College

What can’t FLOTUS do?

In addition to being one of the most influential and powerful women in the world, First Lady Michelle Obama is also pretty good on the mic.

To flex her rap skills, Mrs. Obama teamed up with SNL’s Jay Pharaoh for “Go to College,” an infection ditty aimed at encouraging young people to continue their education.

In the song, FLOTUS raps:

South Side Chicago, we all know
We had to do overtime every night, to make it tomorrow
And everyone could really make their dream true
Hey kid, listening in Michigan
That could be you!

Mrs. Obama’s vid was so good it inspired the folks on Twitter to come up with #FlotusBars, a cheeky hashtag that mixed the First Lady’s esteemed position with a few clever politics-inspired raps.

Watch FLOTUS drop bars below.

This is all in good fun. There is nothing wrong with having a great education. Education is found in college, vocational schools, and other locations too. The First Lady Michelle Obama rapping is priceless and it shows the diverse creativity of Sister Michelle Obama. It is ironic that she can rap better than many artists in the mainstream level. By and large, this is a very hilarious video with an important message.

Out of all the First Ladies FLOTUS Michelle Obama has the most flavor, compared to the First Ladies of the past who in my opinion were bland and boring. She is still graceful and elegant and she is fun and doesn’t take herself seriously. I will miss her when they leave.
