Does Twitter Really Need 10,000 Characters?

Twitter

Twitter

Twitter rants.

Twitter raves.

Twitter jokes.

Twitter reviews.

Twitter is now contemplating leaving behind the 140 character limit that its subjected social media to. But not everyone is happy.

On Tuesday, Jack, Twitter’s CEO, tweeted out the reasoning behind the character increase.

Although the number of characters may increase, it necessarily won’t cloud your timeline. If a tweet is more than 140-characters, users will have the option to expand it.

Get ready for the Twitter dissertations. It seems inevitable.

I can see if it was 2,000 characters, but 10,000 is too much in my view. To each its own.

    10K characters isn’t a tweet…it’s a blog entry.

They can make it 50,000! I don’t care because I don’t use Twitter. If I want to read 10,000 words I’ll grab an old device called a BOOK!
