Twitter is now contemplating leaving behind the 140 character limit that its subjected social media to. But not everyone is happy.
On Tuesday, Jack, Twitter’s CEO, tweeted out the reasoning behind the character increase.

Although the number of characters may increase, it necessarily won’t cloud your timeline. If a tweet is more than 140-characters, users will have the option to expand it.
Get ready for the Twitter dissertations. It seems inevitable.

They can make it 50,000! I don’t care because I don’t use Twitter. If I want to read 10,000 words I’ll grab an old device called a BOOK!
