DC Police Renews Search For 8-Year-Old Relisha Rudd

DC investigators have started a new search for Relisha Rudd, who has been missing since 2014.

Rudd disappeared in March of 2014. She was last seen with Khalil Tatum, a janitor who worked at the homeless shelter where Rudd lived with her family. Tatum allegedly killed his wife and himself about a month after Rudd’s disappearance.

The investigators are now searching a construction site in the area of Montana Avenue and Bladensburg Road NE. 80 people, including the Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI, are included in the search.

One has to wonder why did the search for Rudd end?

But in a statement to WUSA, the FBI stated the following:

“The FBI Washington Field Office continues to assist the Metropolitan Police Department with the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Relisha Rudd.  From the start of this investigation, we have provided our partners resources to aid their efforts and we will do so until she is found. One of the FBI’s top priorities is protecting children from violent crimes and we remain committed to finding Relisha or any child that goes missing.”

I pray that this baby is found safe but after a year of the FBI not caring enough to find her alive, it does not look good. People who prey on children are the worst kind of scum of the earth. It is too bad he took his own life and was not thrown into prison with the gen-pop for the rest of his life.

      You echo my sentiments exactly.

Yeah sadly if she had been the “right” color they would have been more diligent in their search to find her to bring much needed closure. God bless this little girl.

Any missing child is a tragedy. Relisha Rudd is a precious young human being who should be found. We all hope and pray that she is safely discovered alive. Black people being missing in America and in the world should have a much greater awareness. All Black Lives Matter. I’m glad that Clutch has shown this story, so hopefully, Relisha is discovered.
