Remember when we let you know you could buy you very own Ava DuVernay Barbie doll? Well, in about 15 minutes they were all gone.

While Mattel would later release more of the collector’s items on Amazon (which, also sold out quickly), the folks who couldn’t get their hands on an #AvaBarbie were not pleased.

Can you blame them?

Now, let’s hope Mattel get the memo and releases a few more Ava DuVernay Barbie dolls.

There was an article on The Root about gifts to give during the holidays and they mentioned buying from this website called Natural Girls United. It’s owned/founded by a Black woman named Karen Byrd. They have Black dolls of all shades with all hair types. You can even create your own. And they go for about $80
