After Being Rejected By GoFundMe, Indiegogo Allows Donations For Walter Scott’s Killer Cop

When someone thought it would be a good idea to raise money for the murdering SC cop Michael Slager, GoFundMe immediately rejected their campaign. Slager, who was charged with first degree murder on Tuesday, apparently has fans who were eager to donate to his defense fund, but according to GoFundMe, they weren’t having it.

“After review by our team, the campaign set up for Officer Slager was removed from GoFundMe due to a violation of our Terms and Conditions,” Kelsea Little, GoFundMe’s public relations manager, stated.

GoFundMe didn’t disclose what the fundraiser violated, but Little did state that they can only “discuss the details of campaigns with the organizers.”

So what happens when you’re rejected from GoFundMe? Well apparently IndieGogo is the next option.

The organizer has set up a new page on Indiegogo and a Facebook page. Most of the responses on the Facebook page are negative, but the fund has actually received donations.  When contacted by ThinkProgress as to why they’re allowing the fundraiser, they stated:

“Indiegogo allows anyone, anywhere to fund ideas that matter to them and just like other open platforms — such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter — we don’t judge the content of campaigns as long as they are in compliance with our Terms of Use.”

One has to wonder what type of person is actually donating money to a murderer.

The Indiegogo page does not seem to be a big hit so. MSNBC says that as of April 10, 2:00PM CDT, it has raised $750.

Looks like it has been removed. I am sure they will try it again somewhere else.

Of course, racists, who are happy he did America a favor, would support him. I’m not at all surprised. It’s really sick.

You’re right Sister. Some people are so low that they will fund an evil murderer (who is a thug in blue). We all send condolences to the family and the friends of the Brother Walter Scott.

      RIP Walter Scott.

It is evil and cruel for Indiegogo to allow for something like this. Racists have no shame and it is truly repulsive for racists to donate money for the murderer Slager. Slager deserves nothing but to be convicted and sentenced to prison at the bare minimum for the rest of his life.

This goes to show that racism is a disease. These idiots are donating money to the defense of a murderer solely based on ethnicity and not the facts of the video footage. There would not be a fund raiser if Slager shot and killed a Caucasian SMH

      @Chazz A

Those same people would be calling him a jack booted thug and would be recalling Ruby Ridge if he had killed a white man that way.

No doubt and they would have him completely kicked off the local police force instead of doing desk duty like these other thug cops.
Slager needs to be convicted, sent to prison and housed in general population!

I knew they would find a way to fund this demon

With or without the cooperation of Gofundme, indiegogo or anyone else, they’re gonna find away to give this man their money. I can’t even imagine the other ways he will be “thanked” for this.

@Love.tweet.joi: That just goes to show how sick some people are. That is disgusting that people would pay a killer for killing someone just because they hate the color of his skin.

The sad part is, because it’s happening to us, white ppl act like they cant see it…at least it feels that way. It’s like we’re screaming, “This is wrong!” and people can’t hear us.

Not surprised, still disgusted. My comment is under review, meanwhile what I posted was that on the same site as Ind_____ a fundraising campaign for Walter Scott is now posted. Black lives matter.

Lol everyone’s running away from him. Apparently, even the police union won’t pay for his defense.

It was discovered to be a scam! Supposedly, the guy was trying to raise money to pay off his car.
