Chinese Restaurant in Kenya Closes Doors To ‘Africans’ After 5pm

A Chinese restaurant in Kenya is under fire for admitting that they lock out Africans after 5pm because of security threats. Chinese Restaurant in Nairobi, says because of the terrorist group Al Shabaab, and warnings from the Chinese embassy, they are protecting their clients.

“We don’t admit Africans that we don’t know because you never know who is Al-Shabaab and who isn’t,” Esther Zhao, a PR manager with the restaurant, told the Nairobi News. “It is not like it is written on somebody’s face that they are a thug armed with a gun.”

The only Africans that are allowed after 6pm are drivers and Africans accompanied by European, Chinese or Indian guests can be admitted.

“It is strictly a no-African policy and we have even had to turn away some prominent Kenyans who were obviously not a security threat,” a restaurant worker said.

Local politicians have called the restaurant’s practice unconstitutional.

“That amounts to racial and ethnic profiling, which is unconstitutional,” said the country’s ombudsman, Otiende Amollo. “It has in it the inherent assumption that Africans are inevitably pre-disposed to be robbers… Whatever measures they choose to take to maintain security must be measures that treat people equally irrespective of race, gender or color.”

Yet, again, people invade another’s country, and then discriminate against the people of that country. Why do we keep letting these interlopers in our space? Don’t these people have their own dang country to live in? If they stayed in their lane, they wouldn’t have to worry about those “evil” Africans invading their restaurant!

If the Kenyan government does not shut that restaurant down, they are a joke.

I wonder what the “we’re all human” negroes have to say about this. Name one non-black country where blacks can set up shop and then dictate to the non-blacks where they can and cannot go. This is straight fuckery. And then we wonder why we get no collective respect.

This is the kind of nonsense I can’t wrap my head around. It is one thing to be abused in a foreign country. It’s a completely different thing to be abused by foreigners in your own country. It’s not like Kenyans are politically or socially powerless here. They can demand better from these people who choose to come into their country or send them back to where they belong.

There was a time I thought a China-Kenya alliance would be beneficial, but it turns out the Chinese are just as interested in exploiting the country as the British were. The difference is that Kenyans don’t have to take it. No other nation would accept this level of disrespect and bigotry on their home turf. The fact that the Chinese feel safe enough to admit to discriminating against the native and majority population is already embarrassing to Kenya, but they should at least retain some dignity by kicking those people out.

Like I said before it seems like climate in Africa currently is

    1. White
    2. Chinese/Asian
    3.African
    4. Other black people

In that order, no thanks I’d lose my mind.

This is totally revolting. It is blatantly wrong for a Chinese restaurant to discriminate against Kenyan residents in the Kenyan country. The Kenyan government ought to shut that restaurant down for its blatantly discriminatory policy. That evil policy is racial profiling and ignorant, because Kenyans are a strong people. It is hypocritical for the Chinese restaurant to scapegoat Kenyans for the actions of a few. That is why we fight for the right of Africans to control their own resources. Also, we are opposed to any policy which restricts legitimate human rights.

      @ZORINO

Kenyans run the government, they can shut it down. There is no need to burn it down.

That’s right! I hope they’ll shut it down.

This is why I don’t take lectures on what AfAms need to be doing from Africans. That they think they can get away with this speaks volumes.

If the Kenyan government doesn’t shut it down, Al-Shabab will. Then what?
