Friday Asides

I had a weird dream last night. It basically involved me leaving for my business trip that I’m going on next week, but I left all my ‘business’ stuff at home. No laptop, no suits, no dress shoes. It was just me in Orlando with flip flops and a bathing suit. I guess I need to continue to tell myself that this IS a business trip, and not a trip to Disney World after all. I’m actually not looking forward to the trip, I have too many things to do to get prepared. But anyways, here are my ‘asides’ (not really rants/raves, just things I didn’t want to dedicate a whole blog post to).

  • In less than 26 days, McCain will finally go away! I’m tired of seeing his little arms sway back and forth on TV. I’m tired of hearing “My Friends”. So this week he decided to send his “crypt keeper” i.e, his wife out to attack Obama. What a way to go, pimp out your former drug addicted, extra-maritial having affair wife.
  • Facebook is some funny stuff. I don’t know how much longer I can stand to be on it. Way to many highschool flashbacks. Once this class reunion organizing is over, the account will be closed.
  • If you don’t have a Twitter account, you don’t know what you’re missing.
  • SNL, if it wasn’t for the idiots in this years election, I don’t know what you would have done in the ratings arena, but, I swear, I haven’t had so many laughs from SNL in a long time!
  • I’m so amazed how many people still haven’t registed to vote. If you don’t vote, honestly, I don’t want to hear any complaints.
  • HWSRN, thank-you! Today you were there in my time of need! Yes, for now on I’ll carry more cash and make sure I keep the tank at least half-way full and I”ll work on the local banking issue!

Now it’s your turn, if you have anything to let off your chest, go right ahead! It’s Friday, it’s a long weekend for some, so have a safe one & enjoy!

    I have to say, I love this blog! I just discovered it, and so glad I did. I can’t wait till this election is over and we can wave McCain and Ms. Palin goodbye. I’ve been spending the last several months “Obamaing” This is the first time I’ve ever been so involved in a presidential campaign. I’ve given my time, money and energy to Obama’s quest to bring change. I really think it going to pay off. It’s about time America delivered on it’s promise of equality, justice for all and government for the people, by the people.
    By the way, I completely agree with you about Facebook. I left high school 15 years ago and vowed to never look back.
    Have a great weekend everyone!!

    I’ve got to tell you, I can’t wait for the elections. I’m sick of those political commercials (on BOTH sides) claiming and stating they’re what the country needs. Did you hear about McCain’s wife sustaining an injury to her hand by an over-zealous admirer? (LMBAO) C’mon, really!
    Have a great one, and bring your galoshes to Orlando ’cause it will probably rain.

      @robusta barista

      That injury was a result of McCains “pimp hand” being strong…I know you heard Tom Joyner talking about how she always walks 2 steps behind him, like Bishop Don Juan says a “ho” is supposed to do in his book.

    Mine has nothing to do with politics. I work for a cleaning service. When a new boss took over in January, he really turned things upside down. He cut the hours and pay. He’s late with the supplies we need to clean and also to put in the bathrooms (paper towels, toilet paper). There are no more sick days or vacation days. So on and so on. This has been of the worst years of my life. I’m stressed out. I’m not making the money I need to make. With the economy in the dumps, there’s nothing else really out there. I’m stuck. I’m thankful I’ve got a job, but I just wish things would get better. I do hope that some day I can find something different to do. It would be great to have a job that I could make a good living, would enjoy doing, and even helped others out. Maybe that’s too much to ask for.
    BTW, Thanks for your comments on my blog. I appreciate them. I just started the blog on like Monday. I hope you will come back by there again. I love hearing comments from people. I did add your blog to my blog links. May I ask what does somebody have to do to get added to yours? Thanks. Take care. Have a great weekend.
