Viola Davis + Taraji P. Henson On The Cover Of Elle = Greatness

Elle Magazine’s February issue is dedicated to celebrating women in television and we’re so happy to see two of our favorites — Taraji P. Henson and Viola Davis — were invited to the party.

Covering each of the five covers for the mag’s sixth annual women in television issue are Taraji, Viola, Julia Louis Dreyfus, star of Veep, Quanitco‘s Priyanka Chopra, and Vinyl star Olivia Wilde. All in all the issue recognizes 32 “truth-telling, boundary-breaking, sexy, fearless” ladies in the entertainment business.

On the subject of acting, Viola had this to say:

“How do you know what’s happening within anyone? That’s the job of an artist. Great artists tell the truth; crappy artists feed you the lie.”

Meanwhile, Taraji discussed the impact Cookie has made off screen:

“She’s a hell of a hero. I’ve had women from every walk of life talk about how Cookie is their hero or their spirit animal. They wish they could be as bold as she is. She’s fearless and uncompromising to her truth.”

While you wait for this issue to hit newsstands, be sure to check out Viola’s 15 most inspiring quotes on Elle now.

Taraji looks nice but the photographers should have glam her up more. Same for Viola Davis. I don’t think the white editors put in 100% effort when it comes to black female celebrities.

The photos aren’t popping i need to see allure and glam. They did a lackluster job. They do above and beyond for white celebrities.
