Tabloids have been reporting Sandra Bullock’s second adoption for months now but People recently confirmed it in an exclusive cover story shot by Photographer Bryan Randall. The photo features the 51-year-old Oscar winner holding her new daughter Laila (pronounced Lila), a 3 and a half-year old from Louisiana who had been in foster care, and her son Louis embracing his mom with a smile. All we see of Laila is the back of her head and two neat little afro puffs.
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here. I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time…I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” Bullock told People.
She also added that her first adopted child, 5-year-old Louis Bardo Bullock, who was also living in Louisiana prior to the adoption, spearheaded the entire journey.
Congratulations are in order for Sandra (and Louis)!
