Ludacris Is Now Seeking Full Custody & Child Support From His Daughter’s Mother

Ludacris

Ludacris and his daughter’s mother, Tamika Fuller, aren’t getting any closer to resolving their child support and custody issues. As a matter of fact, things are now taking an interesting turn. In response to Fuller’s request for more child support, Ludacris is now seeking full custody and child support from Fuller.

In court documents, Ludacris says he’s a “fit and capable parent” and should get full physical custody.  He has also asked the judge to force Fuller to pay him child support. If you recall, Ludacris previously stated that he was broke, due to the “Fast & Furious 7” being put on hold after Paul Walker’s death.  The judge still set his child support at $7, 000 a month.

Is Ludacris requesting full custody out of spite? There’s nothing wrong with a father having full custody, but why request it after Fuller asked for an increase in child support?

Divorce attorney Shauntese Curry-Trye says Ludacris’ move is typical in cases like this. “Ludacris’ move is classic legal advice- if u don’t wanna pay then go for full custody. But most of the time people (Typically men) don’t understand what that entails so after they go thru my 12 Step Program on How to Win Custody- they are done! Financially and emotionally. It’s not easy and unless you can show that the mother is unfit or other extraordinary circumstances exist, it’s difficult (But not impossible) to win full custody”.

As this court case plays out, it’ll be interesting to see the judge’s decision.

Clutchettes, what do you think about Ludacris’ move to receive full custody & child support? Do you think it’s vindictive?

I don’t understand this men. They go around sticking their penises where they don’t belong and then cry foul when a baby shows up. Don’t they know that there are women out there banking on getting pregnant? The ONLY one I feel sorry for is this poor baby being caught in the middle.

From the limited information I have, I think Luda is foul and trifling for trying to get full custody of that baby. How many times has he even seen his daughter? If he can’t afford child support and is screaming “broke,” then how is he going to take the baby from her mother. If Tameka is an unfit mother, then I can understand.

      Here’s my thing:
I don’t know what type of career this woman has, but we all know that Ludacris is an entertainer, so unless he plans on retiring from the entertainment business, he is just as unstable as this woman (so he claims). Just because he has an “indisposable income” doesn’t mean that he can provide a healthier environment than this woman.
Also, I like (well, not really) how he claims that this woman is unfit, but she wasn’t so unfit to have unprotected sex with.

My initial thought was “Just pay the d*mn child support, man”.
Do I think his latest move is vindictive?
    Is the Pope a Catholic?
I hope his proof (in regards to his claims of his daughter’s mother being ‘unfit’) is solid and not just simply “She’s crazy!”

well Mimi it depends on what the babys mother intentions were…What was there reasons for hooking up? How long was there relationship going on for?? …I think any man who tries and take a child away from the mother as in Usher Raymond and Dwayne Wade case is indeed vindictive. I don’t approve of it at all…its a a-hole move. If u slept with her then take care of your responsibility.

I believe that it doesn’t matter.
When it comes to gaining full custody of a child, the non-custodial parent needs “concrete physical proof” that the custodial parent is unfit to raise their child. Ludacris could hand the judge a paper with the list of reasons why he believe that she is unfit. The judge is not going to take his opinions as if they were facts.

Can’t say I know the exact truth about this woman but from what I heard they weren’t in a relationship. They went back as friends and probably was having a “friends with benefits” or I keep you around for sex type of thing. Since they go way back, I am pretty sure this woman knew about Exoudie (sp). She has other baby fathers and she wanted to borrow Ludacris’ car because her car had broken down. It doesn’t seem to off that she didn’t want to have this baby for material gain. Ludacris being an idiot and getting confortable is now tied to this woman for life.

He’s basically saying that the reports of his multi-million dollar net worth are lies, and he has spent ALL of his money?

This is just a mess. So he has enough money to knock valid restauranteurs out of the running to start a new restaurant in the International wing of Hartsfield Jackson, but he doesn’t have enough money to support his child?

He is not going to raise this child. He is going to pay his cousin or some random person 2,000 a month to keep this child in Atlanta. You can’t let just anyone keep your child.

He needs to stop being spiteful and let the mother raise her child. These men need to stop acting as if these children appear from thin air.

This article is one-sided. I get that fathers shouldn’t file for child support for purely financial reasons, BUT…

$7,000 a month?! That’s $84,000/year of TAX FREE income for one child!!! I work d*** hard, have an advanced degree (and student loan debt to match), and still don’t make that much. I know families (with both parents working) that survive on less than that. AND she originally requested $15,000 a month – $180,000 a year, tax-free!

I’m all for fathers doing their part in parenting (financially and emotionally). However, the purpose of child support is to care for the child, not be a golden ticket for mom.

7,000 is a lot of money. One of the things I always think about is does this person already have another child? In this case, the answer is yes. I’m not sure of the custody/child support arrangements that Ludacris has with his daughter’s mother, but looking at this case, Chris Bosh’s case, etc. it seems as if these men want to play eenie meenie miney mo with their children.

Some men want to pay support based on the way they feel about the child’s mother. I.e. “Well, I like this child’s mother more, so I’ll pay her. I don’t really like this child’s mother (or I didn’t have a “real” relationship with her), so I don’t have to pay her”.

At the end of the day, none of these children asked to be here. They should all receive comparable amounts of support. I read somewhere that Puffy’s kids receive different amounts of support. They all should receive the same type of support. At the end of the day, this is 2014. If these men don’t know what’s up by now, they need to keep their drawers up.

He was stupid in the first place to get in this mess and now he is trying to fix it the best way he can. If he thinks he can raise her daughter and don’t want to deal with the hassle of having the mother trying to raise child support every time he turns around then maybe this is the best move. He messed up bad by going raw in this woman or having sex outside of his relationship in the first place. In his position, he should have known not to trust anyone even a long time “friend” that you having sex with when you felt the need. When some women feel use and find out their not benefiting from their arrangement, they will attack

Based on the tenants of Family Law in the state of GA, Ludacris would have to prove that this woman is an unfit mother (i.e. drug use, alcohol abuse, physical abuse) in order to gain full custody of a newborn.

Luda should just settle with the woman on child support (this is just a move to force said agreement), agree to joint custody, & wear condoms in the future.

I am sure he spends more on strippers. If you are balling, your kids should be too. The thought of his misogynistic ass raising that poor girl, along with that moron who doesn’t understand the importance of Black dolls is depressing. She’ll never love herself in that home.

Sounds like he and his lawyer are wising up. Children have to be taken care of but there is no reason that this women or any other women should be receiving that kind of money to take care of a child.

This is what I call “p***y welfare”. I do not mean to be crass, but it really needs to stop. We always talk about children needing their fathers too, so there really is no reason that he cannot provide a loving home for her.

Maybe they could split custody – but I doubt girlfriend would want that because it would cut the amount of money she is getting. I hesitate to say that but why in the world would this woman be looking for more money.

Years ago there was a white actress who was married to a very wealthy man in New York. They had one child together and I think he married her after he came out of a long term marriage and his kids were college age. She argued that their child should grow up in the same luxury that his kids did. Mind you he was paying for the child to go to the best schools in the world and the child would not want for a thing. But the women wanted to live in the lap of luxury. If my memory serves me correctly, she lost.

Linda Evangelista did the same thing and it definitely changed my opinion of her (not that my opinion matters to her, but I am just saying).

The thing that gets me is that some of these women will present themselves as an advocate for single mothers when they do not seem to realize that while many single mothers have to fight with an ex to get child support, these same women also take their behinds to work everyday.

    Work. What a concept.

“…She argued that their child should grow up in the same luxury that his kids did….”

I will probably have my “Womanist” membership taken away from me, by writing this…

I hate when I hear this rebuttal from other women. Usually, (in my case) this statement comes from women who are either:
      1) Non-parents
      2) Mothers, but the fathers are not involved with the children’s upbringings.
      3) Spectators who are throwing in their $0.02, but do not have the “full story”.

In my opinion, as long as a child has a “Daddy” (not a father/donor) who has made sure that he/she has health insurance, receiving the best education, have suitable clothes on his/her back, living in a productive/safe environment and is shown respect, nuture and love, then that is all that matters.

The baby is too young to be with anyone but the mother. As the child gets older than custody should be split. Luda probably lives in a nice area, good schools, low crime rate, lots of space in his home… Maybe when the child starts school Luda can take her Monday through Friday.

the biological mother of a child isn’t always the right person to raise the child, how else would adoption be possible? secondly, the mother isn’t anymore qualified to raise a child than the father – it’s an equal partnership. at the end of the day, it’s about the best interest of the child.

Just because he lives in a good area and has money doesn’t automatically make him the “best parent” in this decision.
      Who knows?
His career choice could be a deciding factor for the judge to award the mother primary custody. After all, he is an actor and a rapper, who has a busy schedule.

So he is going to take this woman’s baby and give to Eudoxie to raise on top of everything she is dealing with in this messy situation? Why didn’t he just impregnate Eudoxie in the first place? These men are psycho, selfish tards to think a woman would want to deal with the product of his transgression daily like it is a precious gift he is bringing home to her. Just counter the child support request in court and keep it moving, no need to take the child. Is Eudoxie infertile and you trying to get a baby for her on the cheap?..kmt

ummm…I knew he was not a man when he first came out rapping…I do not like him never did like him…Word to the women be careful what man you sleep with cause these men now they are brutal and since they do not want to take responsibility of their actions they are starting to rip the children away from their mothers. Whatever ur intentions are in hooking up with a man (especially when he is famous)u will definitely deal with the consequences.

Agreed. though, the argument could be made that if a primary custodian can’t raise a child on a $7000/month plus her own financial contributions, her priorities and decision skills seriously need to questioned.

The age of the ho, who thinks that she is going to get knocked up by a rich, male athlete and/or entertainer, and have him pay her child support for the next 18 years is over. These men are taking their script from the Dwayne Wade, Usher, and Chris Bosh playbook. And women, who mess around with these boyz can have their children taken from them, and end up paying child support themselves.

On the flip side, I feel bad for the real woman, who honestly falls in love, weds, starts a family with a male celeb, and then divorces said male celeb. Now she also risks having her child(ren) taken from her by the courts all because the man doesn’t want to pay child support. This woman’s whole world could be taken from her, but her ex would probably have no problem making it rain 15,000 grand in the strip club the next night. This ish is crazy!!!

You know, I never understood the draw to these male celebs. A lot of them are still classless with all that money, and they’re a bunch of nasty hoes themselves. But this takes their deplorable nature to another level. If there is no evidence to show that the mother is unfit there is no reason for a young child to be separated from his or her mother. Especially at 2 months old. That’s inhumane!!! I dont think guys like Ludacris care about this child at all. All they care about is the money in their purse because they’re little bitches.

Women, proceed with caution if you are going to date these type of high profile men. In my opinion, you should run in the opposite direction if you see them coming.

While I do agree, that child support is FOR THE CHILD, the fact is Luda is a wealthy man, and the child should live at the level that is appropriate to his finances!

Obviously, if Luda was concerned about being “taken for a financial ride” by some greed female, he should have wore a condom!
