Lark Voorhies Says She Didn’t Slam Bill Cosby Or Martin Lawrence; Her Identity’s Being Impersonated

This past weekend Lark Voorhies kinda had the Internet going nuts — or at least someone pretending to be her did. Between posts comparing Bill Cosby to the devil, others accusing her ex Martin Lawrence of abuse, and another in which the actress seemingly pulled a Raven-Symoné and claimed not to be black, but an American, many fans wondered what the heck was going on with the former Saved By the Bell star.

Well according to Voorhies what’s going on is someone is impersonating her on Instagram and it’s lowkey ruining her life. She told PEOPLE exclusively:

“Once again I would like to reiterate that I do not have an Instagram account nor have I ever had one. The statements being made from [the Twitter account] @thelarkvoorhies are not coming from me. The person or people committing this identity fraud are causing great distress to myself and my family. They are treating this like a sick joke. Any posting ending with ‘LV’ is not from me.”

A sick joke it does seem to be, as whoever is operating the @thelarkvoorhies IG account has even posted this statement of denial to make it seem as if the child star does have access to the page as well. Voorhies maintains that she doesn’t, however, encouraging fans to connect with her on Facebook — the only social media account she has. Let’s hope either she or Instagram gets to the bottom of this situation soon.

I wonder who would have such a vendetta against her? Is she doing anything these days? I haven’t seen much from her lately. I hope she can get this odd situation cleared up.

Transparency about the situation is certainly a must. Anyone who stole who her identity should be held accountable.

Something tells me that we should give Lark less airtime. This way, no one can make comments in her name.

I read she suffers from mental illness so who knows what’s going on.
