Dad With 22 Kids By 14 Women May Get Reality TV Show

orlando-shaw-deadbeat-dad

Orlando Shaw is only 33 years old, but he has a ton of mouths to feed. The father of 22 kids, by 14 different women may just get the chance to actually feed them himself and give the State of Tennessee a break on the $7,000 public assistance his children receives.

Last month, News Channel 5 in Tennessee interviewed Shaw after a child support hearing. When asked why he had so many children, he said “I was just young and ambitious and I love women. Hey, you can’t knock no man for loving a woman.” That interview went viral on YouTube.

Well things may be changing for Shaw. According to the man with the super sperm, he may end up getting his own reality tv show.  “I’ve had a lot of people from Hollywood calling me,” said Shaw. He has already signed a production deal with a Los Angeles agency.

Contrary to popular belief, Shaw does want people to know, even though he’s currently behind in his child support, that he does take care of his children.

“I’m not a deadbeat. I’ve never been a deadbeat,” said Shaw, though he admitted he can’t possibly pay the child support he owes.

Shaw said he knew all his children, and showed us photos he had of each to prove it.

“I’m a devoted father to all of my children,” Shaw said.

He said there were too many fathers who were not involved in their children’s lives.

“Out of all of my children, all of their mothers can find me – or if they can’t find me, I’ll find them. I don’t play about with those children,” he said.

Shaw has also said he’s not planning on having any more children, but he doesn’t want to get a vasectomy. “Have you seen the movie War Horse? I’m a war horse and I don’t want to be cut down there and it won’t work the right way no more,” said Shaw.

    Ratchet gets ratings, but weren’t Shawty Lo and all his baby momma’s vetoed by a change.org petition?

  3. July 25, 2013 - Reply

    A couple of things:

    1) Contrary to what he believes, he IS a deadbeat dad. He doesn’t pay the support that he owes, and there’s no way that he could possibly give each of his 22 kids the time and attention that they deserve.

    2) Although I’m sure there will be petitions to try and stop it, he should get his own reality show, but ONLY if the money goes directly to his kids. That way he and his kids’ mothers can stop relying on taxpayer money for help.

    • July 25, 2013 - Reply

      @Yvette

      He’s also painfully and tragically ignorant based on his beliefs about how a vasectomy works. His kids do not have a chance b/c I cannot believe any women who is a baby mamma to a deadbeat like this could have any sense, and he is obviously a deadbeat moron too.

      Just think, if this guy were Asian or White, no one would say, “This is ridiculous. Asian/White women and men are so much more than this tomfoolery.”

      Why does what this guy is doing have to be a reflection of what we (Black people) all are doing or not doing?

        If this guy were Asian or White, Asian/White women and men would be upset. Are you not aware of the outcry from Italian Americans over Jersey Shore?
        And you know what? What this guy dies SHOULDN’T be a reflection of what were doing…but, unfortunately, it IS! Do you live in this world with the rest of us? There are those who don’t know you, or know many (or any) Black women, who see you as some image they saw on TV or in a movie. Don’t delude yourself. Aside from that, children will no doubt see this show. We don’t need them thinking this is how all Black men are. We can do better than this because we are better than this.

    This right here is nonsense. Great that he’s trying to be a good father, but a good father would have stopped having kids WAY before 22. And he needs to go ahead and get clipped. I’m pretty sure he won’t start using condoms and apparently the women aren’t all that keen on birth control.

    I’m equally mad at him and the baby mamas. Why in the world would you lay down RAW with some dude who has a gaggle of kids he can’t afford, and then get knocked up by him? What makes YOU so special that he won’t treat you and your kid(s) the same way?

    It is beyond sad that some women will tolerate a shiftless man with nothing going for himself, except problems HE created, just because he can sling it well. (I’ve seen it happen.) Desperation is a terrible thing.

    I’m sorry…you can’t be a devoted father to all your kids when you have 22 of them and can barely pay child support. Good intentions can’t feed a child.

    This is the reason why I get mad when the GOP talks about getting rid of comprehensive sex ed. This man (and people like him) need to know about birth control options! But I’m not taking away from the real personal responsibility this man and the woman have in their decisions. It’s just really sad for the children that have to be around parents that clearly have no sense.

    • July 25, 2013 - Reply

      @Ash

      Hey Ash, the man is 33 years old. Unless he or other adults have been living under a rock, I find it very hard to believe they don’t know about birth control options. He knows about having a vasectomy, so he most certainly knew about condoms. The 14 women he had these children with couldn’t have all been living under rocks to know that having unprotected sex could create a baby.

      Some people are just irresponsible. They get in the heat of the moment and all cautions goes out the window.

      JMO.

This show better not see the light of day, I’m so sick of it.

No excuse these kids don’t materialize out of thin air, and as far as I can tell there was only ONE immaculate conception. I don’t want kids so guess what I don’t have them, I make sure there is not even a possibility. What we have here are men and women who just don’t give a good damn, then you want a reality show to pay you money for your screw ups. Give me a reality show all I got is multiple student loans not kids but, I guess that won’t make for a ratchet storyline and we all know ratchet shows especially involving black people sell.

    Not opposed to Orlando Shaw because he has fathered 22 children, opposed because he has fathered 22 children that he his unable to support sufficently. If he could support all of his children then the State of TN would not have to be providing them public assistance. Additionally, without having all those children in close proximity he is probably not providing all of these children with the emotional support they will need from their father. I conclude he is a shallow irresponsible ass who has conspired with 14 other shallow irresponsible asses to bring children in this world without any thought to how they will be parented.

    After Shawty Lo’s show got cancelled, the rapper Lyfe Jennings announced that tv execs came to him for a reality show about him and his “baby mamas”. (Note, they came to him, not the other way around.) Now we hear of tv folks calling this guy. Ask yourself, why are these Hollywood execs so interested in finding a Black male with multiple children and mothers? Hollywood seems to be a little too interested in creating a negative image of Black people just for ratings. Sadly we seem a little bit too willing to comply.

      Lol, it’s simple economics lady, supply and demand.
      There is obviously a demand for simplistic programming called reality shows; if there was no demand honey boo, rhoa,r&b divas, kardashians etc wouldn’t exist.
      Since a lot of people like silly shit, they execs job is to find as much silly shit as possible.
      Capitalism baby, if they will buy it sell, shout out to Tyler perry.

        @Saturn

        No, it’s not “just capitalism”. I don’t recall anyone demanding a show about multiple children and mothers. Additionally, why do they continue to push it after the petition was successful. Wouldn’t that show them that the demand is not there? But yet they still keep doing it. I don’t think that it’s just coincidence or economics that the same stereotypes keep being promoted in various forms for over 100s of years. It’s a pickaninny tv show, plain and simple.

        @Saturn

        Not only did people not demand a show with the exact same premise, they threatened to boycott everything associated with it. So the response to that is to…make another show about the same thing, again with Black people. What is so crucial about THIS show that they are willing to take the risk?

In his case, I say at least 22 RH kicks.

    Jeez. By Baby #2, you’d think you’d figure out where babies come from. Also, not at all surprised that Hollywood types are licking his hind-parts for a show. Bottom-barrel idiocy sells.
