Amy Poehler’s New Show Includes a ‘Joke’ About R. Kelly Urinating on Blue Ivy

0113-amy-poehler-getty-2Amy Poehler has a lot of explaining to do when it comes to a recent joke on a sitcom she’s the producer of. The famed feminist’s new HULU show Difficult People included an offensive joke about Beyoncé’ and Jay Z’s 3-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and R. Kelly.

“I can’t wait for Blue Ivy to be 18-year-old so R. Kelly can piss on her,” is the joke currently under fire. Julie Klausner, who plays Julie Kessler, a standup comic, in the series, made the joke during an episode, and was shocked that she was on the receiving end of death threats.

“I wrote that thing about Blue Ivy and now the Internet is being really mean to me. Unfollow. Kill yourself. From @SpinClassAddict9,” Kessler stated.

“What was the joke?” Epstein, a fellow comic on the series, asked.

“‘I can’t wait for Blue Ivy to be old enough so R. Kelly can piss on her,’” Kessler replied.

And the ‘joke‘ didn’t go well with people on social media?

People are now demanding for the immediate removal of the new Hulu Comedy.  Clutchettes, what do you think about the ‘joke’?

Wonder if she would have joked about Woody Allen molesting Suri Cruise? Hmmm…

Anyway, this is yet another example of why people can’t stand “White Feminism/Feminists”.

Hollywood supports Woody Allen en masse. They even asked a couple of the A-list actresses about it, and they were like deer in headlights.

Heads up. This is going to be an unpopular opinion.
Okay so when I read the headline I suspected that this joke may have been either taken out of context or not fully grasped. It was kind of both…as I’m typing this I’m kind of losing steam to really put into words to come to the defense of Poehler…because I don’t really think she’s all that great…meh.

    Go ahead, drag her.

This is par for the course. Black men, women and children fair game because we’re not really human, obvs.

    SICK, Twisted Sh#t!!!

What if: Shiloh, Jolie/Pitt, OR Apple, Paltrow/Martin ?

If she said that about Jolie/Pitt, Shiloh, etc. her career would be gone.

As it SHOULD BE!, when that *comedy*??????? is at the expense of any child!!!!!!!

She or Amy made one of the most sickest jokes that I have heard. She disrespected a black child and there is no excuse for what she has said at all. She hypocritically claims to be “progressive,” but she has made offensive comments about Blue Ivy. She should be ashamed of herself. Black people have been degraded not only by reactionary whites but by many hypocritical so-called “progressives” who believe that they have a pass to say what they want about black people. Well, the truth is that they have no passes. No child should be disrespected like that. Amy’s comments are not about humor. Her comments are sick, perverted, cruel, and disrespectful. Jay Z and Beyonce are a lot of things, but one true thing about the couple is that they have great, unconditional love for their child. Bless Blue Ivy.

NOT a Hater nor a Fan of the Carters, but I am PRO-children. If the Carters NEED me to help kick some foul behinds, I will there for them.

Anyone who disrespects children is lower than low. People like or not like the Carters, but their precious child ought to be treated with dignity and respect. One thing about our community is that we will defend black children. Blue Ivy is a blessing.

That is not a joke but disgusting. Why would you want to joke about a child being old enough to get pissed on by a grown man? I swear I hate when people say stupid and offensive things but try and hide behind it was a “joke” excuse. If you have to stoop so low then you are not funny and kids in general should be off limits!

What did Amy Schumer say? I actually got her confused with this broad in the article.

I get them confused too. But the typical joke about our names, attitude, being loud, etc.

I don’t see this as necessarily a racism issue. I doubt she would have made that joke about North West and her family is arguably as powerful as Blue Ivy’s. (In fact, given who North’s extended family is, I wonder if the joke was originally intended to use her name but then someone thought better of it. Not better enough, obviously.) It’s a still tactless and disgusting joke though. It reminds me of when Seth MacFarlane made a similarly crude joke involving Quvenzhané Wallis and George Clooney while the little girl was sitting right in the Oscar awards audience with her mother and sister.

I watched that episode; the main characters of this show are uber antagonists–the whole shtick is that they are awful people no one likes. That will be poehler’s lame defense if she ever addresses it and of course she will say it was not racially motivated. These people are slick. In any event the reviews for this trash are awful across the board, it will be cancelled soon enough. Maybe this unfunny broad will learn to keep the names of Black celebrity’s kids out of her foul mouth. If I was Bey and Jay I would privately send a message to poehler’s camp about how she needs to publicly apologize or there will be a public relations nightmare on her hands.

Amy Poehler and Julie Klausner are appealing to a white audience.

This is sick and disturbing. Blue Ivy is what, 4 years old? They shouldn’t even joke about this happening when she turns 18. This is the time that Jay-z needs to be speaking up. Defend your daughter, son.
